  • Gianluca Barbara

    ITL Director & Kyorugi Coach

    Gianluca won eight consecutive national opens between 2012 to 2020; and another two as a masters athlete. He also placed in various international opens (medaling in over eight countries in the -68kg category). He would become Malta’s first athlete to play in a world championship (2015).

    Gianluca is now a national coach (Malta), national sports school (NSS) coach and Masters athlete having placed first in another seven countries since 2025, including the French national championships (2026). As a coach, he has also leads training camps locally and abroad.

    He is a specialist in exercise and nutrition science, weight management (BSc, PgDip, MSc) and health writing (M.A).

  • Ditmir Vodinaj

    Kyorugi Coach

    Ditmir is a six-time Albanian national champion, having risen through the ranks of Vllaznia Martial Arts.

    He has medaled in several countries throughout his competitive career, including several ‘best player’ awards in both national and international events. He boasts extensive competition history, particularly in Balkan championships, where Taekwondo is known to be one of the most followed sports.

    Ditmir occupies a role as a national coach (Malta), and is a former national sports school (NSS) coach).

    Jovo Mirkovic

    Poomsae Coach

    Jovo started his Taekwondo journey in 2006, in Bosnia, competing in Kyorugi in multiple Balkan championships.

    After moving to Serbia in 2015, Jovo shifted to Poomsae where he would win several local honours competing in Poomsae

    Jovo currently holds several national competitions in various poomsae styles - individual, team, and freestyle poomsae. He is still an active competitor participating in international events under representation of the Iron Taekwondo League.

  • Romano Biondi

    Poomsae Coach

    Romano is an experienced Taekwondo practitioner, instructor, and sports official with over two decades of dedication to the discipline. Beginning his journey in Switzerland in 1998, he has developed a well-rounded career combining coaching, technical mastery, and leadership in Taekwondo.

    Throughout his competitive years, Romano distinguished himself in both Olympic sparring (Kyorugi) and Poomsae, demonstrating versatility and a deep understanding of Taekwondo’s physical and technical dimensions. His achievements include multiple podium finishes at national championships, reflecting consistent performance and commitment at a high level.

    Beyond competition, Romano has played a significant role in the development and governance of Taekwondo in Switzerland. His contributions extend to athlete development, education, and the promotion of ethical standards within the sport.

  • Cezary Poczobutt Odlanicki

    Kyorugi Coach

    Cezary is an accomplished Taekwondo athlete and coach who brings international-level experience, technical expertise, and a relentless competitive mindset to Iron Taekwondo League.

    Originally from Poland and now representing ITL, Czarek has competed at numerous high-level European events, including World Taekwondo G1 tournaments and major international opens across Europe. Throughout his competitive career, he has tested himself against national team athletes, European champions, and some of the continent's strongest heavyweight competitors, continually demonstrating resilience, professionalism, and a commitment to growth.

    A powerful and dynamic fighter in the -87 kg division, Czarek has earned international podium finishes, including gold-medal performances at the Open de Liège in Belgium and the Invitational Games of the Small States in Malta.
