The Iron Taekwondo League (ITL) has once again made Malta proud, securing an impressive 9 gold medals and 2 bronze medals at the 5th TaeKangWon International Poomsae Championships (online edition).

1st place in the prestigious Beach Poomsae Series (for the second time running)
5th place overall out of 36 international teams
7th place as a country, once again competing against 36 teams

These results reflect ITL’s growing reputation on the international Poomsae circuit, not only for its technical excellence but also for its ability to achieve remarkable success with a small but dedicated team.
A Message of Pride
Coach Jovo Mirkovic, who also competed and secured three gold medals himself, expressed immense pride in the athletes’ performances:
“To place so high against 36 teams with only five competitors shows the strength, discipline, and spirit of our club. Every medal is a testament to the hard work of these athletes and the support of the ITL community.”
The Iron Taekwondo League continues to raise Malta’s profile in the martial arts world, proving that passion and determination can achieve extraordinary results—even on the biggest online international stages.
This competition marked the fifth-ever competition undertaken by the ITL poomsae contingent, managed by coach Jovo, and it follows a previous 9-medal haul at the 6th Range Online International Open Poomsae & Para Championships, held last July.
