#92: 25 Students Achieve New Belts, Across 5 Different Schools!

25 students walked away with new belts in ITL’s latest grading. Among them was the Association’s youngest-ever athlete, who claimed a yellow tag at age 3 years.

This grading also featured athletes from various schools operating under the ITL umbrella: Chiswick House School, St Edward’s College, QSI Malta, San Andrea School and of course, the ITL in Santa Venera.

Of all the students in the session, the youngest was Mila Barbara, who achieved her yellow tag at the tender age of 3 years 9 months and 4 days. An all-new Association record.

Two seniors - Sinan Koruk and Nia Tabakova - also received their blue belt and green tag, respectively. They concluded in spectacular manner, with a wooden board breaking. Sinan successfully completed the break with a side kick while Nia did it with a downward hammer-fist strike.

Chiswick, St Edward’s, QSI and San Andrea members primarily comprised of young athletes, some of whom were as young as six years.

Together with ITL coaches Gianluca Barbara, Ditmir Vodinaj and Jovo Mirkovic, they have prepared for this very moment for the past few terms.

The examiners on the day were Gianluca and Jovo.

This grading became the latest in an important line of achievements accomplished by the ITL as a team, and to that, everyone deserves to be applauded.

During this time, many of the schools forming part of the ITL umbrella have also participated in MTA test matches, adding a much-needed explosion of diversity among athletes.

Following this occasion, the next ITL Keup grading will take place on the 25th of June 2025.
